Hi experts,

During the shutting down my PC this error message appears and I have to click OK every time to continue turning off. Is annoying because I have to stay to my PC until is off and I want to get rid of this error. Please can anyone help me fixing this error? If is possible please tell how can this error be prevented in the future.

Thanks experts!

Profiler90.exe is a Microsoft SQL Server file and if you aren't using it anymore you can just uninstall it, but if you are, you can turn off the process by going to these two programs

preview-start-run-msconfig-fix

1. Start > run > msconfig

Preview-of-msconfig-services-tab

2. Start > run > Services

preview-services-start-run-fix

if you wish to use it in the future, find your Microsoft SQL Server and put it on Manual Startup

If you don't, disable it on msconfig or uninstall the software

I’m not sure what application is “profiler90.exe” linked to but if this error appears constantly every time you shut down your computer, try first using the System File Checker utility. I’m not sure if the program is related to the user’s profile but you can check it first with SFC.

Press the Windows key + R to bring up the “Run” dialog then type without quotes “cmd” then hit Enter. In the command prompt window, type without quotes “sfc /scannow” then hit Enter. Insert your Windows setup CD or DVD in your optical drive and continue. Wait until the process is complete. When it is finished, close the command prompt then restart the computer.

See if this works. If this doesn’t work and you still receive the error on shut down, try creating a new user account but you need an admin account to do this. If you don’t have an administrator account, ask someone who has an admin account on the computer to create a new user account for you. This might fix the problem.
