Hi there Anonymous,

Several things could cause the problem you're getting. One of the most common, and the one you should start with is the name problem. In case your file name contains any spaces or ampersands  you will get an error while parsing the movie. This is easy fixable – just rename the file you're working on to be simple letters and number name.

Another thing that usually cause this error is wrong Java version. Check if you are using the 64-bit Java, and replace it with 32-bit, as the software you're using is not compatible with 64-bit Java.

Best regards,

Hello,

Application descriptor file cannot be parsed could mean application descriptor file missing/cannot be opened. What you should do is to check the application descriptor file for XML syntax errors such as unclosed tags.

Every AIR application requires an application descriptor file. The application descriptor file is an XML document that defines the basic properties of the application. Many development environments supporting AIR automatically generate an application descriptor when you create an object. Any filename can be used for the application for the application descriptor file. When you package the application, the application descriptor file is renamed application.xml and placed within a special directory inside the AIR package.
