The dispute between these two big companies has been in a long round of lawsuits and counter lawsuits. Apple claims that Samsung has breached two of their patents in which they used it in their latest Samsung Galaxy S3 that’s why Apple has filed its motion seeking for injunction against the sale of this. Still Samsung will strongly oppose the request and demonstrate to the court that the Galaxy S3 is innovative and distinctive. The company assured that their US product launch will pursue as planned not later than June 21.

The Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III is a 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was announced to the public and released on May 2012. It measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 millimeters and weighs 133 grams. It uses micro-SIM card. It has Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution.

It supports multi-touch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 with TouchWiz UI support. It ships with either Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered by Exynos 4412 Quad chipset, Quad Core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, and Mali-400MP4 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 64 GB.

It runs on 1 GB RAM with internal storage available in the following capacities: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. The primary camera supports 8 megapixels with f/2.6, LED flash, and autofocus support. The primary camera features 1/3" sensor size, face and smile detection, geo-tagging, and touch focus and can record video in 1080p at 30 fps.

The secondary camera supports 1.9 megapixels with f/2.6 support and can record video in 720p at 30 fps. It has 3.5-millimeter jack featuring Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic support; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot support; Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, EDR, and aptX support; GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support; NFC; stereo FM radio with RDS support; and microUSB 2.0 with MHL TV-out and USB Host support.

It has built-in accelerometer, gyro, compass, barometer, and proximity sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML with Adobe Flash support. Java is not supported. It runs on removable Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery with standby time up to 590 hours on 2G and 790 hours on 3G. Talk time is up to 21 hours 40 minutes on 2G and 11 hours 40 minutes on 3G.

It is available in Marble white, Garnet red, Pebble blue, Titanium grey, Sapphire black, Amber brown, and La Fleur colors. Regarding the patent infringement suit that Apple filed against Samsung, Apple wins the court ruling and Samsung should be banned from using specific patented Apple features in their devices. This is actually one of the many lawsuits filed by Apple against Samsung on grounds of patent infringement.
