Good Day Everyone!

Has anyone tried debugging on Nokia phones? Can anyone please share their experience? I need to know what is the specific phone model  you used and what is the problem that you need to debug? Can you also explain how do you debug using Nokia phone? Is it a Smartphone or just an ordinary phone? We would love to hear your experiences and learn from you.

Thank you for sharing. You are a great help!

Hi Alison,

You can debug a Nokia phone through a process known as On Device Debugging. Here is one scenario.

Type of phone: Nokia S60

Mode of debugging: Bluetooth

Software needed on the phone: Perl 5.6.1, S60 SDK for symbian OS, EMCT Agent

Process:

1. Enable Bluetooth, Run EMCT, connect phone to PC

2. Run S60 developer tools–>3rd edition SDK–>v1.1–>tools–>device connection

3. Wait for it to detect any errors

However, On Device Debugging should not be done repetitively as you might miss one step and damage your phone.
