Hi Anonymous,

    There is an online software called Android Market wherein you will be allowed to browse and install android 2.1 os applications.  But if  your devices doesn't match the  compatibility of Google requirements you will not be allowed to download Google Android Market and have an access on it.  The market screen the applications' list produce by the market application to those that are fit with the device of the users and might probably check  their applications to limited countries for some business reason.

Hi,

You should go to the official android website. Here is the link. Upon landing on the page, you will see a list of devices. Select the device you are using.

There are plenty of devices & options to compare to each other. So, it is best to stick to this. Additionally, if you just want to purchase or download the operating system, then download the official Android 2.1 firmware. Transfer it to the microSd card & install it from there.

To do so, switch off the phone & hold down “X” button on the physical keyboard and power it back on to boot into recovery mode.

Then select volume up & camera button at the same time. Select “apply sdcard:update.zip” > After installing, reboot the phone. Hope this helps.
