Amount of RAM does tracing routes java needs to function

I only have 2 GB of RAM in my laptop and I tried using tracing routes Java for me to be guided on my business trip next week. Whenever I use it though, my laptop freezes and the search doesn’t push through. Is the freezing related to the limited RAM I have?

Your RAM's memory is fine.  At 2 gig, that's already a lot to run Java applications since it can operate at a minimum of 16gig of RAM and at least 100mb of disk space.  However, a bigger RAM memory is preferable and a faster processor.  You can also try using Internet Explorer as your browser since this goes well with Java applets.
