There is an adapter that you can purchase from the market called Yosion Apple Peel 520 that will allow you to convert your iPod Touch to an iPhone.  With your iPod Touch connected to this adapter and after installing needed softwares, you will be able to send and receive text messages, receive incoming calls and make outgoing calls, and you can also access internet using GPRS connection. Peel 250 has a battery, which means an additional battery life for your iPod Touch. It also has a docking connector and a sim card. Some of its features are internal  FM Radio Support,  caller ID, vibration motor, and supports  all GSM networks worldwide.
