All downloads end up getting a corrupted file error

I upgraded my system from Windows 8 to 8.1, and right after that, I started having problems wherein every time I download something, even an update, ended up getting a corrupt files error. Anti virus and Windows updates included. I tried downloading a new browser to see if it works and it still gave me the same problem. Could it be a hardware related issue? I'm baffled, please help.

All downloads end up getting a corrupted file error

Hello,

 

Try to do a restore point. Follow steps :

1- Right-Click on computer at desktop > Properties > System Protection > System Restore > choose the earlier point and follow instructions.

If the problem solves, the cause of the problem is new version of windows that you have installed or update files.

Try to get update files from Microsoft official website.

2- Try to download from different websites or use a third-party download application like Download Manager to download your files.
