Help is needed from you guys. One of our cron jobs is writing errors to a log file running on AIX Version 5.2. The following error message appear and any ideas. Error: Error: Internal system error: Unable to initialize standard output file
Please let me know if you need more info as that what I am guessing.
AIX Version 5.2; Internal system error: Unable to initialize standard output file
You should check again the version of the AIX package you are using. Maybe you got mixed up on using different AIX versions on your computer. For example, if you have a package built for AIX 5, like 5.2 or 5.3, this version will still run on higher releases or higher versions. But a package built for AIX 6 will not run on lower release versions, for example AIX 5.2.
So you need to check again the package of AIX that you are using if it was built for what AIX version. There is a web site that contains different AIX packages that you can visit any time. It contains all the information you need to help you analyze what went wrong with your program. To download other versions of AIX packages and to learn more about it, you may visit Bull — Architect of an Open World, a Large Open Source Software Archive for AIX.
