Adobe Reader 9.2 has encountered a problem while installing it

Hi,

Adobe Reader 9.2 has encountered a problem while installing it.

It is throwing the error message every time I tried to install it. I searched several sites to find a remedy but not result.

If you have any idea to solve the problem, please help.

Error 1402.Could not open key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows…MAPI.   

Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel

Adobe Reader 9.2 has encountered a problem while installing it

Hello Green,

To resolve that issue, you will need to remove all previous versions of previous Adobe products, and then reinstall.

• Choose Start, and then Control Panel.
• After that double-click Add Or Remove Programs, and then choose Adobe product and click Remove.
• In case you're prompted, confirm that you want to remove, and then restart the computer, and then try the installation again.

Adobe Reader 9.2 has encountered a problem while installing it

The message shown above indicates that you does not have specific permission to write to the registry files this mostly happens when you are logged in from another account so login as a administrator and try to install again. If the installation is not completed this time then check that the program you are trying to install is compatible for the windows you are trying to install and check that the installation file is correct in each sense.
