Adobe Muse fails to upgrade error

Hello All,

I tried to perform an upgrade on Adobe Muse on my OS X 10.8.2 machine and got an error saying that there is problem with the installer. I tried upgrading a couple of times and abandoned it to try an installation from the scratch. Here again I face the same installation error. I tried downloading Muse from the Muse Page on Adobe and from the Application Manager. But both installations failed. I ensured that Muse is completely uninstalled by dragging Muse into trash from the Applications folder and then emptying trash. Then I attempted to download the installer from muse_latest_mac link from Adobe and tried installing it. But this step too did not solve my problem and gave a corrupted file message. What could be done to resolve this issue? Please help me out. Thanks in advance

Hi Edwardo,
The error is because the application is exported with different certificates.
There are multiple solutions to resolve this error.
Solution 1:
1) Search the application using its name in the 'AIR settings'
2) Uninstall the application from the system
3) Install the new application in the system
4) Restart the system after the process is completed

Solution 2:
1) Open the application xml file in the system
2) Change the application id in the xml file
3) Install the new file in the system and restart the system

Solution 3:
1) Open the signature tab in the application
2) Select the valid AIR code signing certificate
3) Create a new certificate for the corresponding application
4) Enter the certificate password in the password field
5) Use the new certificate for signing the AIR application
6) Compile the new application with new certificate
