Yes this one of the good news provided by Adobe. They have announced another update to their Camera Raw software plugin, enabling the RAW photographers to get the last drop shot quality before editing. This release of ACR includes compatibility with the latest release of cameras like Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Sony Alpha 37 and Pentax K-01.
However this update is only available for users of “Adobe Photoshop CS6”, meaning the users of AP Release 5 or less have to upgrade to latest release to enjoy the features of this update.
This Update (Version 7.1) of ACR Offers:
1- Compatibility with the latest release of camera lines
2- Extract all the quality of RAW X-Pro1 image files
3- It provides defringing tools,( meaning reduce chromatic aberration)
A sane advice, if you are not ready to spend money on upgrading to Adobe Photoshop CS6, then go for a far cheaper solution, and that is Lightroom 4 and get your hands on the latest Plugin.
