How to get my lost contact on address book?
My OS is Windows 7.Â
Due to some power shortage problem my computer got restarted and it creates a big problem. Address book is showing no contacts, all contacts are lost.
The data are there in the folder because I can send emails to them.Â
I am looking for help to get back my address book.Â
I will be thankful for your help to get out of this problem.

You can try to install the Outlook Address Book service by the steps below:

If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2002 and 2003, try to go to Tools > Email Accounts > View or Change existing directories or address books > Next > Click on How to mark your contact folder for use with your address book if your address book is listed, or Click on "add" if your address book is not listed > Additional Address Books > Next > Outlook Address Book > Next > Ok > Exit > Finish > Exit > restart Outlook

Hello Mr. Kramer,
You can try this steps:
Click Start
Click (personal name) just above documents
Click the Contacts folder
Click Properties
Click previous versions
Search and recovery
All you have to do is to go through the above dates to open the Contacts folder at a time, if you find what you need, just right click to copy and then go to the Contacts folder now has missing connections, right-click and paste again where you must be.
If this does not work, try to restore order and do it this way, as shown below. Make sure to return as 2-4 days ago, before this happened.
1) Turn on the computer
2) Start tapping / pressing "F8"Â until the Advanced menu
3) Select Repair your computer and press enter
4) Click Next
5) Click System Restore
6) Restart your computer when you are finished to see if fixed.

You could recover your address book. Or you could possibly have the option of having it backed up into your computer.
So you can check all of the files on your computer to make sure that they are not hiding somewhere.
If they are not backed up into your computer you can always ask a computer technician to try to get your old files back.

By default, all the contacts in Outlook Express are saved in a single Windows Address Book (WAB) file of type  *.wab. The location of this file depends on the version of Windows you are using. To determine the location of Outlook Express WAB file in Windows 7,
Open WAB in OE
 click Help > About Address Book.
If you open the *.wab folder in windows explorer, you will see not only the <username>.wab file but also an automatic backup copy named <username>.wa~ or <username>.wab~.
To open this backup copies, just rename that file and change the extension to wab.

Microsoft Outlook stores it's data in .pst files, located in C:Documents and Settingsusername Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook.
This files are hidden. So you need to show them from folder options.
After having your .pst file you can recover them from Microsoft official site
