Addition of files is not supported for rar archive.

Hi all,

I have problem with adding files or removing files from existing rar archive.

I set in packer options external rar program to be WinRAR, but when I open some rar archive and try to copy some files in that rar archive I got this message: 

Function not supported!

I do the same thing with standard Total Commander and all works fine with rar.

Here is a picture to better describe my problem.

Hi,

Further to you question, here is the solution of your issue.

• Go through the TC UPwincmd.ini and remove RAR=196,%COMMANDER_PATH%PLUGINSwcxfhRARfhRAR.wcx. If it doesn’t fix go though the fallowing point.
• If the above solution did work, try to reinstall the WINRAR application. Reinstalling the WinRAR may the fix of the issue. If the above two solution did work then go for the below solution.
• This may cause by the spyware, try to fix by reinstalling the antivirus. Reinstalling the antivirus fixed this issue in many cases.

Hi dear,

I will try to help you to solve your problem.

When a folder already in Rar form and you want to add files and copy file from it.

You can do this by doing some work on windows.

• Open the- TC Up/windcmd.ini
• Then remove the Rar path.
• “196, %commander _path%paluginswcxfhrarfhrar.wcx
• After doing this I sure that your problem will be solved.
