Hi,

This type of error occurs when there is a problem with permissions on the file you are trying to zip, which can be easily removed.

1. Right-click the file you want to zip using 7 zip.

2. Click properties and then go to "Security" tab.

3. Verify you have the permission to modify or to make changes to the file.

4. Furthermore, verify that you have the necessary permission to make changes to the directory, since 7 zip always makes a new archive for this operation.

Hope it helps.

Hello Raymond,

You will need to check and see if you might be trying to drag and drop the files from inside a zip file. If that is the case, you will need to unzip the file and see if it can be transferred successfully.

Other workarounds you should try are the following:

Try right clicking and then open with 7-zip. Otherwise, you can just Winrar.

Use 7z to unzip the mod you want. You can do that by right clicking extract all. After that you can copy them into minecraft.bin with 7zip . Note that 7zip cannot be able to use files that are still zipped and being accessed by windows explorer.
Regards,

Carl
