I want to remove the Run command or Run box from windows start menu because I don't want others to use my computer to enter any kind of Run commands in the Run box that will enable them to reconfigure or even ruin my windows settings.

You can see the Run box right after you click the windows start button to see all the programs installed in your computer. Check the image below:

I need to arrange my pictures according to its type or file Extension in separated folders. I try to create a folder named “.JPEG” but not succeed. I’ve seen a folder name started with “dot” or “period”. How to do that?

How will I be able to transfer the whole settings of my laptop to my new pc?

What is a hosts file in windows XP I have seen people putting some content into the hosts file and removing it.

Why do we use it and what's the use?

I usually had a wall paper image as my desktop background. However, after I had encountered an error in the internet explore when I was browsing the internet which had caused me to forcibly shutdown/reboot my computer, I had noticed that my desktop background was turned to white with “Active Desktop Recovery” caption and a button which says “Restore my Active Desktop”. I tried to click the button, but a message window which will prompt you to “Run” or “Not to Run” a certain script will appear. I had tried both options, but still no to avail.
