What is the blue screen error in windows 7?.

Every 10 to 15 min window restart with flashing blue screen.

Why can't I copy and paste in my Word document? If I accidentally point the mouse on the 'send to' in the drop down message, it hangs. I have to end it up through the Windows Task Manager.

What is this spider.sav that appears in my folders? Is it a virus?

I tried to delete it but to no avail. It keeps on reappearing.

Does it affect my files?

I am using the ipconfig command line utility to view my current TCP/IP configuration. I understand that ipconfig when used with the option
/release – releases my DHCP configuration
/renew – remews my DHCP configuration
/flushdns – Purges my local DNS cache.

I have done this to get my Internet problem sorted most of the times. But, I recently came across my School System Administrator using these two options on the ipconfig command:
/setclassid and
/registerdns

Can anyone explain me what are they used for? Also, is it equivalent to putting an entry in etc/hosts file?

Weeks Ago so I installed Windows 7 OS Then I activated it, everything was fine.

Then about a Month ago, I went to update it and got a cannot update error message code 8004F807.

I then noticed that in the bottom right hand corner of my desktop, I have a new tag:

• Windows 7
• Evaluation copy. Build 7100
• This copy of Windows is not genuine
• I haven't installed any new hardware or anything.
• Under Computers=>Properties
• Windows Activation
• Status: Not Available
• Product ID: Not available

Any help would be appreciated please. Kindly post the link about this problem.

Two error messages

Hi everyone,

I have problem, my computer cannot detect any USB sticks, at first I though it is my USB,

I cannot log in to my Windows 7 account. My wife accidentally changed my login password and now I cannot log in since I don’t know the password and she forgot it too. The problem is I have been looking around for the installation CD and just couldn’t find it anymore.

I need this to reinstall Windows 7 to reset the current configuration. I don’t want to format my hard disk because I have so many important files on it. Is there a way to access my computer without my user password and without using any installation CD?
