I was getting seriously stuck on Windows 8 due to lack of the startup menu icon on the left bottom corner, a feature I had found useful in windows 7, after upgrading to windows8.1, the menu is back but not working, I have tried starting applications on it but nothing happens, I have to go t the tiled window to start my Applications from there, is there any way to make the menu work? how can I enable applications start without having to minimize my active windows and going back to the tiled start window?

I have recently downloaded Skype  on my Samsung Galaxy S3, I have been trying to make video calls and to navigate the application and I am getting problems adding contacts, I have heard about Viper 4.1 release which is claiming to be cheaper than Skype, anyone who has tried Viper? What are the features of this application? Is it better than mobile Skype?

I recently downloaded Auslogics Duplicate file finder 3.4.1.0 and used the application to sort my media files, all was well until I decided to delete the multiple file to leave only one, when I started my computer today (HP Pavilion running on Windows 8.1 ) my media folders were empty, what could have gone wrong since I only deleted the duplicates only? How can I resolve this problem?

I have FireFox 26.0 which Tweaked a bit to increase my browsing speed, I changed Network. Pipping from 32 to 35, then introduced browser. Turbo. Boolean to true, since then my computer (Acer Aspire running on Windows 8) is freezing every time I start Firefox, I want to reset the browser to its defaults but the freezes are not allowing me to navigate the application, how do I solve this one? And why are these changes freezing my computer off every time I start the application?

I have downloaded the latest version of Geogebra v 4.4.1.0 and everytime I start the application, it starts loading then goes off unexpectedly without any popup or dialog box, what could be the problem? I have tried fresh installation and still experiencing the same problem, I have Dell E6400 running on windows 8.1. How can I solve this one?

I have Dell Latitude E6400 which was running on Ubuntu 13.04, recently I have updated to Ubuntu 13.10 and it won't shut down completely, it gets stuck on shutting down screen and am forced to manually switch it off, what could  be causing this? How do I correct it?

I have Asus Vivobook which had a dual boot of Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10, yesterday after login to Windows 8, automatic updates took over and before I knew what was happening, my computer was upgraded to Windows 8.1, now the problem is I can only access Ubuntu 13.10, when I try Windows, I get this black screen then the computer restarts, How do I solve this problem without losing my data on Windows?
