Please help me fix the error ‘un defined reference to f – xargc’. Also the underscore problem is to be solved. How can I say the linker for ignoring the unresolved reference? The MKL with PGI compiler can be used and if can be used how can it be used?

Whenever I try opening any program my screen displays the following error: “The application of DLL C:Windowssystem32winmm.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.”  How come I can still open the programs but they would not work? Please help. Thank you.

I would like to ask for assistance on how to load the SP3 on my computer.  It is a 7-year old Compaq Presario SR1000 sr1420AN running on Windows XP. I have tried installing the SP3 several times but it always fails.  The file has become corrupted and I might be forced to go back to restore point.  Any ideas?

The Retrospect Small Business Server Premium Version 7.7 runs on my Windows SBS 2008 machine without any errors. But lately, it started throwing an error message stating "Assert – module.cpp-1138." What is this? How can I resolve it?

I need to fix this error with Everest Home Edition. It is saying that the driver is not digitally signed. I am using Windows Vista Business Edition 64-Bit on my HP 6715B computer. Doesn’t Windows Vista accept non-digitally signed drivers? But I think it usually does. Maybe something is wrong with how I installed it. I need logical suggestions please. Because other online help just doesn’t make sense at all. Thanks a lot.

I have a FAT32 external hard drive with me. I am trying to copy a file into it, but I realized that it won't allow me to do it, if the file is 4 GB or so. I need to copy two image files with a total of 6 GB, but the external hard disk is showing an error while I am trying to transfer it. It says:

In the last five days I am having a problem with my computer. Suddenly it became very slow. I can't work with it in a usual way. Even the mouse cursors runs very slow. Start menu doesn't work. But when I scanned virus with Norton 2010 antivirus it can't find any viruses! Then what is my problem?

I am a regular Ubuntu OS user and I am facing a problem which I want to share with you. The problem is an error message saying

Could not update CEauthority/home/test-user/.ICEauthority’.

I used Ubuntu 9.10 before, and I have had a bitter experience from this error/message.

But then again, I attempted installing Ubuntu GNOME 3 at 11:04 Natty Narwhal but the same error occurred.

I would say that it is necessary to come up with a solution to this problem if you are planning to reinstall Ubuntu.
