Initially HP Cloud was offering a non Open Stack private cloud infrastructure as a service called Matrix. There are lots of customers of HP Cloud who are happily enjoying the service. But now they have introduced Helion now which is a Open Stack distribution. Is OpenStack beneficial for a private cloud than non Open Stack?

According to Bill Hilf, Senior Vice President of HP Cloud, this cloud infrastructure will be consistent across different environments. My only doubt is can Helion be deployed in private, public and hosted cloud environments?

Siaras cloudscape platform is focused at service providers who would like to sell WAN on demand as a service. This is similar to cloud services.
