I bought Acer Aspire 7741G (17" screen) and it is only 18 months old now. Yesterday, when I was watching BBC iPlayer, the screen suddenly turned green (stripes). 3 seconds later, the screen turns to black.

After about 3 minutes, I managed to turn it off, and It looked like a bulb busting on TV.

The two lights next to the start button on the front left are now blue and red, instead of blue and yellow.

After a while I tried to switch on it again, but the start button on my Window 7 is not working.

Any suggestions on this will be much appreciated.

The touchscreen can be used like a standalone tablet as it can be detached. Leave it docked and you will have a keyboardless presentation screen or an instant internet appliance.

Pretty excited about this new tri-mode but I wonder what would be its possible setbacks.

This new tablet can be converted to a laptop by using the attached keyboard dock which will convert it to a laptop.

And it will be connected magnetically as opposed to the usual dock connector.

Won't there be any interference in its usual functionalities?

Magnets are expected to do just that.
