Lotus Notes…

Encrypted Files. I have collected data from a few computers that are using Lotus Notes.

The NSF files are encrypted and I thought that it would be alright because I have the user IDs and their passwords.

But these databases are locked and I cannot turn of the encryption, and although I have access, I cannot modify the database.

Has anyone experienced this?

I will be feeding it to a processing cluster so I have to set worker boxes to utilize the original user ID file.

This means that the user IDs need to be reassigned in custodian inbox.

How do you move the encryption?

I cannot change the encryption settings.

Lotus Notes UI Automation. I am running on SQL Server ’05 and using Lotus Notes 6.5 to 8.5.1.  I am using Visual Basic 2008 to mechanize Lotus Notes UI to make e-mails in HTML.  This contains a link to a website.  For example, the link is “http://www.example.com/abc.asp?def=TRUE&Ref=123.”  This works on Internet Explorer, but then I check the link in the sent items, “&Ref=123” changed to “&Ref%123” and the link does not work anymore.  This happens to all of the hyperlinks.  How do you stop this?

Copy a Lotus Notes R5 database. I want to copy a database containing thousands of documents from Lotus Notes R5.  It is located on a server accessible via my computer.  I want to move it to another storage device.

Does the database need to be converted to a different file first?  How?

7.0.3 on Windows 2008. Our company wants to upgrade our servers from Windows ’03 to ’08.  Our Lotus Notes servers still run on 7.0.3 and we are slowly upgrading it to 8.5.1 FP3.  We are also replacing some hardware.  Our problem is that the servers cannot be advanced to version 8.5.1.  I want to test if the codes in 7.0.3 works in Windows ’08 but it won’t even start.  Has anyone tried this?

Strange issue with Domino Web mail and Windows 7. I am running on Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer 8.  Everytime I access our Domino 8.5 webmail at home and download attachments that are MS Office ’07 files, they are saved as ZIP files and I have to change the extension to open the document.  This does not happen on Windows XP.

Lotus Notes – Attachment Screen Wrong Order. I am running on Windows XP and using Lotus Notes 6.5.

When I choose a file as attachment, the dialog box shows the folders and files in a reverse order.

I tried right-clicking and sorting by name, but then I would have to do it in every folder and subfolder.

Do you have any advice on this problem?

Lotus Notes error – File already exists. I use my laptop in the office.

When I open my Lotus Notes, an error pops up that says that the file already exists.

The Notes exits when I click “Ok.”

I followed some tips that said to delete “bookmark.nsf”, but nothing happened.
