I am using a laptop and my touchpad is not working.  This is a loaner laptop and I'm not sure if this worked before.  Can anyone help?

My CD/DVD drive cannot read the disk I inserted.  

I don't frequently use the drive  and I don't know why it's not working now.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Experts,

I have a 17" monitor that's 5 years old and have been facing different issues. Sometimes there is no display and sometimes there is a lot of lines which affects me from working.

It display looks like shuttling up and down which happens when there is low power.

I have checked these.

1. Power supply watts is fine

2. Earthing is fine

Can somebody help? I have a problem where my desktop's display size became too large. I went to display properties and tried to adjust the screen resolution to the right but the slider is grayed out.

I also tried restarting my computer but the display size is the same.

I bought a new video card couple of days before and I have a problem. When I installed the video board in my MoBo and rebooted the system, the POST (power on self-test) was terribly slow.

Earlier it paused for seconds, now it needs around 10-15 minutes. I tested the video on my neighbor's PC and it worked with no problems. What is the reason for this? Do I need to change my MoBo?

My CD-ROM is stuck because of the broken cd in it. Please tell me how to open it with without opening the computer cover because it is locked too and I don't have its key.

I use my computer basically for gaming. Whenever I play for 8 hours or more, the computer does not boot the next time I use it.

However, there are times that it boots but then suddenly turns off after several minutes of usage. I changed to a different powersupply before but the problem still persists. What could be the problem?
