Can someone tell me what is the problem with my desktop?

It always hangs and every time I spank it, it works.

Suddenly all my folders and files disappeared and computer stopped working .

When i restarted it and check the ''show hidden files'' option,all files and folders appears again.

But now the problem is occurring frequently.

How to solve the problem?

My desktop monitor has in-built speakers. When I put in the headphone, sound comes from both the headphone and the speakers. How to stop the sound from the speakers with headphone jack attached?

There has been a strange noise getting out of my pc and I am guessing it is coming out from my cooling fan.

I have tried the necessary tuning but it is no use. The sound is coming out loudly and after a while it keeps on going with an annoying noise. Kindly someone help me with this issue.

I am having some trouble with my PC temperature. It is rising rapidly. The thing is that I have recently added a new cooler fan in it but it is no use. There is external DVD-ROM player and external HARD DRIVE. But is there such a thing as EXTERNAL FLOPPY DRIVE? I only have a laptop and I got a floppy disk that I need to open.

I have Verizon DSL as my Internet Provider and I'm thinking of switching over to AT&T. I keep on turning off and back on my modem as a tech support representative advised me to do so every time I can't connect. Do I need to replace my modem? I often have connection problems with it since day 1 and very frustrated about the speed that I'm getting. My speed is 1MBPS but even browsing facebook is difficult.
