An error message is getting when I am trying to start the service from the COGNOS server. I have searched in forum but nothing found helpful. Please see the error message. ‘Event ID description is not able to find. May be the installation is corrupted. Repair the component in local computer. It runs with Windows Server 2008. I don’t what is happening. If anybody knows how to fix this problem, please let me know. I will thankful for all help and support.

I am using Soft share in virtual server which runs with Windows Server 2003 and have 8 GB RAM. The server performance is very slow. I have opened the task manager and it is showing whole CPU time is hogging by the task manager. But it is not getting fast when I close the task manager. Is it possible to view the actual CPU usage? If anybody knows why it is working slow, please let me know. I will thankful for all help and support.

We are having two SQL database sized 1.5 GB and 6 GB in a server.

New transactions are added on a daily basis.

We want to backup the database to a remote location on every day.

It is not possible to back up the full 6 GB database on every day.

So, we need to backup the present day transaction on every day.

Please give me some suggestions.

“Lotus Notes software is not installed on this computer.”

It is possible to install V5R2M0 client access with 32 x Windows 7. But it is giving an error message when I am installing the same with 64 x Windows 7. The error message says ‘XCOPY File – two’. Please suggest me to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

The site http://racing4glory.com/fantasy-racing/ has a drop-down menu.  When I view it using Mozilla Firefox, the browser shows the drop-down menu.  However, when I open it via Internet Explorer, the drop-down menu is hidden.

How could this be fixed?  Any help is appreciated.

I have an intranet site that has some files on it.  I'm using Internet Explorer to browse the site.  When I open a file, it shows an error message, displayed below:

“Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close…."

I have an external hard disk which has 1 partition, formatted in NTFS. I use this drive on multiple computers, with different logins, and with different operating systems (Windows XP and Windows 7). All files are plain old files, not OS encrypted or compressed. However, Windows 7 does not let me access some files, for I don't have "citing permissions".

Is there a simple way that I could access the files/directory on a partition, apart from taking ownership and setting appropriate permissions? I really find this process very tedious.

Sometimes the users are not able to log on to Active Directory Network 2008. It is getting failed to connect to domain controller. We are using 2 AD boxes. When this problem happens nobody can log in. It will longer for some minutes. If anybody knows how to fix this problem, please let me know. I will thankful for all help and support.
