Error while installing K – Lite CodecPack

I linger to install the most up-to-date version of the K – Lite codec pack 8.2.0 in both the 32 and 64 bits, using the Windows 7 x 64 Home SP1 OS, unfortunately, I cannot set off the installation process. Instead an error showed up as displayed in the picture below:

Zugriff verweigert.

 

 

An Error Zugriff verweigert appears and I wonder what this foreign language means.

I hope I could be able to resolve this as soon as possible. Please help!

Hi Ricky,

You have faced a problem to install K – Lite codec pack 8.2.0.You said that an Error Zugriff verweigert appears and you wonder what this foreign language means.These are German words and "Zugriff verweigert" means access denied.It may be for virus.You can download again this software and try again to install correctly.

Error while installing K – Lite CodecPack

Hi Ricky,

       The error means “Access Denied”, this may be that the installation is trying to access a file that is currently in use. You may need to shut down all programs that are running, however the best way to do this is to restart your computer in this way it completely closes all applications. Check the folder where you are installing the program make sure you have full access on it. Disable anti virus software to minimize conflict. Another option you can do is just click on Retry a couple of times, until the error goes away if this does not work click on ignore.

Error while installing K – Lite CodecPack

I also have 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 but I am able to install K-Lite codec pack. If you downloaded the package from some website, make sure to download it on the home website. Also when installing, make sure you are installing it with an administrator account. Try downloading the package again. Download K-Lite Codec Pack Mega.

The latest version at the moment is K-Lite Codec Pack Mega 14.9.4 released on May 4, 2019. It contains updates from LAV Filters updated to version 0.74.1-16-ga5009e, MediaInfo Lite updated to 19.04, and Icaros updated to version 3.1.1 b1. There are four (4) variants of the codec pack: basic, standard, full, and mega.

Mega is the largest of the four variants which means it contains the most complete sets of codec for different media files. This mega variant also contains several ACM/VFW codecs which can be used by video encoding/editing software. For Windows XP users, the latest and last version is K-Lite Codec Pack Mega 13.8.5.
