Error on AVG: Cannot be updated

Hello! I have AVG 2011 installed in my PC. The problem is that it won’t update no matter what I do. Both anti-virus and anti-spyware are not out of date. I tried to solve this by downloading AVG 2012 but whenever I try to update, it gets stuck in “Analyzing the Updates” stage. I cannot uninstall the whole thing because I am worried my PC will be left unprotected if I cannot be able to reinstall it.

Any help out there?

Error on AVG: Cannot be updated

Hi Moria,

You may want to do the steps below to have your AVG internet security and antivirus updated.

First thing you need to do is to either right click the AVG icon on your task bar or double click on the AVG icon on your desktop to open the application. You then need to click on Tools then Advanced Settings. You then need to click on Update on the list of choices on the left side. You need to then click on Manage link of the left side under Update. There is a button there that says Delete temporary update files. You just click on Ok then try to update AVG.
