Problem on Spelling and Grammar Icon

Whenever I use the tool for grammar checking, it shows errors that are in an order different from the one displayed when I click the Spelling & Grammar in the menu.  I want to ask why this happens. Thank you.

You are saying that when you click on the Grammar Check Button on bottom taskbar it show errors in different order than the ones display in Spelling & Grammars Menu when accessed from the Review Menu?

Well the reason behind this is that, the Icon at the bottom of the page is just to edit the small mistakes and is a shortcut. Whereas the Spelling & Grammar menu is a complete spell checking guide and it gives you a complete detail about an error that is being made.

It provides you a more healthy grammar checking than the one at the bottom. It gives you the alternatives for a text too and you can choose it from a number of options displayed in the window.

Problem on Spelling and Grammar Icon

By order you mean which error you can be able to correct first right? You will need to note that when you open the spelling and grammar window, the spelling mistakes that are in your document will be displayed according to the current position of the cursor in your document.

Therefore, if you have placed the cursor at the end of the document then errors that are at the end of the document will be displayed first in the spelling and grammar menu. If you need them to appear from the top of the document going down then you will need to make sure that the cursor is at the beginning of the document before you open the spell checker.

Thanks Michelle for explaining detail-oriented difference. Experttechyv, your proposed solution of position of cursor was such a simple solution but couldn't ever be observed without a keen eye.
