That a good question, this is a problem with the bridge, You need to ensure it is not running in desktop.

Adobe needs to be set up to run differently with Bridge.

You can do the following to solve the issue;

• Press and hold CTRL+ALT+SHIFT while Adobe and its applications are running
• There is a prompt that appears on changing the preference. You need to confirm it.
• On the prompt also asking on whether to delete the Photoshop settings file select 'Yes' or 'Ok'.
• In bridge, there are also similar options that you need to select to change and click 'Ok'.
• If you installed photoshop and bridge together as part of the suite, you need to uninstall and reinstall the suite to resolve the problem
• Go to My Computer->Local disk C:->Program files->Common files->Adobe and delete the startup scripts
• Go to Start->All programs->Control Panel->Add/Remove programs and remove the installed Adobe applications
• Reinstall adobe from the installation cds

You can then restart the system and restart the adobe applications and it should work normally without the error window or pop-up.

You usually get that error when you start Adobe Bridge by navigating to File and then Browse or by going to Options and then clicking Go To Bridge. The easiest way to possibly fix it is to install the latest update for Adobe Bridge. Update for Adobe Bridge is available at Adobe Product Updates. Scroll down and look for Adobe Bridge.

The latest update at the moment is Adobe Bridge CC 6.0.1. If this doesn’t fix the problem or the update is not applicable to you, try recreating the preferences for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. To reset the preferences, press and hold CTRL + ALT + SHIFT when starting Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. You need to do this on each of them.

In Photoshop, click Yes when you are prompted with “Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?” In Adobe Bridge, select all three options in the dialog and click OK. See if this fixes the problem. If this doesn’t fix it, try deleting the StartupScripts folder and then reinstall Adobe Creative Suite 2.0. This is useful if you installed Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge as part of Adobe Creative Suite.

To do this, start Windows Explorer then navigate to “C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobe” and then delete the StartupScripts folder. Next, click Start, Control Panel, and then select “Add or Remove Programs”. Select Adobe Create Suite 2.0 then click Uninstall or Remove. After this, restart your computer and then reinstall Adobe Creative Suite from the installation CD.
