Memorandum with the header and footer visible

I would like to make a memorandum with the header and footer visible only on the first page where the collective header that indicates “Print Memo” is written. How can I remove both header and footer to the page where the memo content is written?

1)Removing Header

 

Step 1: Open the saved document.

 

Step 2: Click the "Inset" tab the command ribbon. 

 

Step 3: Click the Header button .

 

Step 4: A built in window appears with a list of Header Styles(blank,annual…).

 

Step 5: Click on remove Header.

 

Step 6: The Header is removed in the document.

 

 

2)Removing Footer

 

 

Step 1: Open the saved document.

 

Step 2: Click the "Inset" tab the command ribbon. 

 

Step 3: Click the Footer button .

 

Step 4: A built in window appears with a list of Header Styles.

 

Step 5: Click on remove Footer.

 

Step 6: The Footer is removed in the document.

Memorandum with the header and footer visible

Hello,

 

MS Word will automatically delete the header and/or footer in the entire document, when you remove a header and/or a footer in a single page (assume cover page).

Therefore, to remove a header and/or footer for a part of a document (separate page), you must have to separate that section of the document first. Thereafter, deleting the header or footer in that section will no more affect the entire document.

Follow these steps.

1. Click "Header and Footer" (on the View menu)
2. If you want, click Show Previous / Show Next on the toolbar and move to the header and/or footer that you want to remove.

   Make certain, the "Link to Previous" button isn't activated in that section you try to separate, or the headers and footers in the entire document will be removed even if you have sectioned the document as you want.

3. In the header or footer area, select all the text and graphics. Then press "Delete"

 

Follow this to delete the header and/or footer as options [first page only, for odd or even pages]

1. File menu > Page Setup > Layout tab.
2. Under Headers and Footers, select the option you want. Different odd and even / Different first page.
