Hi,

How to avoid slow shared drives VPN? While using a VPN I need a fast internet connection is this has to do with the drivers of my computer? I am using a windows 7 32 bit operating system. I need your help.

Hi,

Slow network drives in VPN is because of it having too many items in a given folder view ex: drive G: have 250 items in without any folders making indexing over VPN longer to complete. If your an administrator of your company I suggest you categorize items in the network drive through folders so that when you open the drive it will open faster. per folder.

Also internet connection is a factor specially if you transfer filed from the network drive to your local drive.

but to speed up the process it is advice to put files in folders for windows to open the network drives faster.
