Hi! Crime is rising in every corner of the world. For safety reasons, I want to make my Mac laptop a safety tool for my safety in my home. I have a high – quality web camera that can help. The problem is the software. I don’t know any software that could help me make my  laptop a safety precaution tool. So experts, does anyone of you know any Security webcam Mac software? How to install it? Comments would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

It is not a free utility but offers a trial period that will give you the option to try and see if this is what you are looking for. EvoCam is highly customizable software that will turn your Mac into a security system in no time. You can adjust basically everything – from how and when to record videos, motion detectors and email alerts when motions are detected. Another thing I'd like to suggest you to try is UGOlog. It is a web service that will allow you to monitor your home from any browser after signing up and setting your camera without installing any additional software. Hello Ross,

There is a cheap and easy method for acquiring security webcam software. The answer to your problem is iCam and you can have this for only $5. Easy to setup and you can even have multiple cameras if you have a number of different areas to monitor. The only thing that you cannot do with iCam is that you cannot record and save video. Icam notifies you when it detects motion and it is user friendly. You can get WebcamXP for $60 and difficult to stream using the internet. Webcam has free version but the version won’t notify you when motions are detected.
