Trying to write LILO data in newly installed Master Boot Record (MBR)

I have installed Master Boot Record (MBR) without any error. When the installation has completed, I tried to write LILO data into it. Then a message popped up saying that the program cannot write the given info to the MBR. Can anybody help me please?

Hello Glenn Varney,

Where is the information that you are trying to write to the master boot recorder located? If the data is on a CD or DVD then it is possible that the CD has been corrupt by either being scratched or being exposed to dust and therefore you might want to clean off the dust from the CD and try writing the information on it again.

It may also be possible that the format that the data you are trying to copy to the master boot recorder is not supported by it, and in that case you will need to convert it into a format that can be supported by the master boot recorder and then try copying it again and see what the response will be.
