I am planning to buy the Premium version of AVG LinkScanner Mac that will help me to protect my system to prevent from malicious threats through the web, Please do the needful for getting me the specification and the details of minimal requirements that is needed for the software to run.

AVG LinkScanner for Mac is totally free. It alerts in advance if a Web site contains malicious threats. AVG LinkScanner interrogates search or typed web address before loading the page in the browser. It also provides security ratings against each links of the search results for safety.

The Mac-like interface of LinkScanner activates two types of protection. The Search Shield uses Web browser plug-ins that check search results. An informative icon is displayed next to each result which gives information about the site before clicking a potentially dangerous link. The Surf Shield provides real-time protection by scanning Web sites in advance, and issues a warning to stop from surfing dangerous sites.

AVG LinkScanner for Mac is another great software from AVG Techlologies. This software makes your internet surfing safer, protect your identity and personal information.

The AVG LinkScanner has mainly two key function.

1.   Secure your internet browsing.

2.   Secure your search by rating each link.

Requirements:

1.   Mac OS X10.6 and higher

Mainly the only requirement is Mac OS. There are no specific minimum space or  minimum  ram because you don’t need to worry about that.

It provides an advanced layer of security against fast-moving, invisible threats on the internet which verifies the safety of web pages and links returned from web searches. On the AVG official website, the download is only for Microsoft Windows platform. The Mac version is not available.

For Windows users, you can download the latest AVG LinkScanner from Softonic.com because the link on the AVG website is no longer working and redirects to the normal AVG antivirus. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 are not supported.
