Note that connecting to PS3 on the internet will be absolutely different from connecting to a mail page for instance, for playing PS3 online requires that your internet connection be very strong so that can load the graphics and all other files. So I suspect that you are getting the issue when connecting to PS3 because your internet connectivity it too slow and therefore you will need to troubleshoot that problem as follows:

• If you are connecting to the internet using a wireless connection, ensure that you have got a strong signal on the computer that you are using to get strong internet access speed.
• For wired connection, you will need to make sure that the cables are connected correctly, if possible restart the router to refresh the settings.
