Laptop not getting charged after being plugged in.

The problem why the battery is stuck at 0% is very simple, the battery is not charging, i.e. the battery pack is not receiving power from the charger and is simply not charging. There may be two causes to the mentioned issue-

• The first is that the battery pack itself is dead, you cannot repair it the only viable option you have is get a new one and replace it with the existing one. The problem should be solved.
• If the above step does not work there is a problem with the connection between the battery and charger, in this case you have to get your motherboard repaired or replaced and may cost you more than if it would just have been the battery pack.

That’s not good if you need to do that every time you use your computer. If you verify that your battery doesn’t really charge even if you disconnect and re-connect the charger to your laptop, the problem is probably on the battery. First, check if you can use and work on your laptop without the battery. Disconnect the battery from the battery compartment at the bottom of the laptop.

Once it is removed, connect the charger and turn on the laptop. You should be able to start your computer even without a battery and using only the AC power. If this is successful then there is no problem with your laptop. Shut down your computer and disconnect the charger. Next, try reconnecting the battery to your laptop then insert the charger.

After that, start your laptop normally. If the problem came back and you cannot use the laptop with the battery connected and the charger inserted, your battery is defective. You should replace it with a new one. For the meantime, remove the battery from your laptop and use it with the AC power just like a regular desktop computer.
