How to remove corrupt email from Outlook Express

Today I have received an email in Outlook that I can not open, move or delete.

I assume that it is not safe and it is corrupt.

But unfortunately I do not know the method to remove corrupt email from Outlook.

I have tried everything and also searched online but a solutions was not found.

Can Techyv support people assist me with this?

How to remove corrupt email from Outlook Express

Solution 1

Select the corrupt message, whilst holding shift key press delete on the keyboard. This deletes the email permanently.

Solution 2

Create a temporary inbox folder; move all messages apart form the corrupt email to this new folder, quit outlook.

Locate inbox file normally inbox.dbx on your hard disk. Delete or rename the inbox.dbx. (The location inbox.dbx file is found by going to Tools – Options – Maintenance then Store folder)

Start outlook express, it creates new inbox folder. Move back all the messages you had moved to the temporary inbox folder. You can now delete the temporary folder after all the messages are in the new inbox.

How to remove corrupt email from Outlook Express

First click on corrupt email once to select it and then hold down the Shift key and the Delete key on your keyboard, it will permanently delete the email message.
