How to install and configure VMware?

Hello,

I’m the student of computer science and my teacher assign me project that I have to install and configure the VMware Lab Manager. I have search lot about the VMware but I found that I will installed just on 64-bit Windows server. I searched the VMware site and other website for the information, but none of those website will tell me about the Windows Server 2008 R2.

Please help me because I will send the project in near future I’m worried.

How to install and configure VMware?

You just need to launch the DSN configuration from the command line in order to get the 32bit drivers:

• c:windowssyswow64odbcad32.exe

 

This will allow you to create a 32bit DSN assuming you have installed the 32bit SQL Server client drivers on your box. Once this is set up, the rest is pretty easy and will work without trouble. If you get an error like “Error: This product can only be installed on Windows XP or later. ”

 

When installing VMware, it is most probably because you have the Hyper-V role installed and enabled which is not compatible with VMware. Disable the Hyper-V service from a command prompt and then reboot. You can re-enable Hyper-V once VMware is installed.

Hello,

Before you install the VMware server to your computer makes sure will run on any standard x86 hardware, including the too OS Intel and AMD hardware to the virtualization assisted system to avoid any error before installing the VMware then start install. You just simply click the next to get started and just accept the license agreement and click the next.

Just default of the complete the installation by clicking the next. If you want not to run the production server using the windows XP as the host of the OS just simply clicks ok on his error then precede the installation. Then default destination folder and click next. Just disabling the auto run from the CD-ROM and click next just simply click install to start installation.
