Attacked by the crypto virus 3.0

I have a computer that has been infected by the Crypto 3.0 virus. I had tried removing the virus previously, and i thought i had succeeded since the crypto screen was not showing up. Afterwards, i ran the Emsiss emergency kit and the rogue killer & bytes root kit and so far, i am able to access the internet but not able to view any pictures or even documents. It is not a browser problem since I have tried on different browsers. Help me solve this. How can I ensure that the crypto virus is completely removed from the system?

Hello,

Viruses are quite troublesome and if it’s a strong one, then it gives more trouble than never. There’re some tools that you can use as your remedy.

First of all, try Norton Power Eraser, TDSSKiller etc. They are quite good and powerful anti-rootkit that removes any hidden viruses in your system.

If no result, then try Norton Bootable Recovery, Kaspersky Rescue Disk. These are bootable tools that can be booted from USB drive as an OS and will scan the entire system for any fault.

If that doesn’t help yet, the problem of picture might be of your browser’s fault. Try downloading the latest version of your browsers. Download latest Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE browser.

The best solution is to re-install your OS. Learn how to install Windows.
