Acronis True Image Home 2011

Hey gurus,

I tried to erase a backup version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 express in the explore dialog box.

I also tried to make am incremental backup, but this did not work.

The log displayed the error message which I have attached below.

Error

Failed to open data stream.

Acronis True Image Home 2011

The above error message states that one of the two (or both): 1) backup script file; 2) backup database are corrupt.

The backup task script file is located at: ProgramDataAcronisTrueImageHomeScripts

The database file is a located at: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%AcronisTrueImageHomeDatabasearchives.xm

To access the database file, hit Win-R on the keyboard and paste there the path above

If both the backup script and the database are corrupt you will not be able to recover the backup archive. At this point you should make a new backup and delete the old one.

If only the backup script has gone corrupt you will be able to restore from the backup archive, but you won't be able to make any new incremental backups to it.

That's probably why you got the error message when you wanted to make an incremental backup.
