Apple laptop virus solutions ?

Some viruses are very dangerous they spoils the apple laptop as a whole. It is difficult to saved it from viruses. Can you please tell me what precautions should i need to protect my apple laptop from viruses for always?

First thing is "apple series" is not a virus free OS you just try to get in through safe mode. You just try to get in through safe mode. It can be done by clicking or pressing F8 continuously when the laptop boots.

It shows your all OS features along with safe mode. Select it and examine through it. Better you do this and install an antivirus program in yours.

You probably do not need any anti-virus or anti-malware software at the moment. There is no malware attacking it but this does not mean you should not run it. If you are a home user, you do not have to care what happens to your data but business users do.

 

It may be wise to take precautions even if they for not appear to be necessary. Unfortunately, there are not many free anti-virus programs for your laptop but you could always try ClamXav which uses an open source antivirus engine. It is a graphical front end to Clam Av and also available from Apple.

In the old days, Macintosh computers are less targeted for viruses. The main reason: very few people are using the Mac unlike with the number of people using Microsoft Windows. The market for the Mac computer is very low compared to Windows computer that’s why few programmers are targeting this operating system with their malware. But nowadays, OS X is also among the operating systems getting targeted for infection.

If you want to avoid your system from getting infected, you can practice some safety habits. First, when surfing the internet, avoid downloading programs you don’t know. If you want to try out a new application, make sure to scan it first with your antivirus before installing or running it on your computer. You should scan any file you download from the internet regardless of their format.

If you can, install an internet security application instead of a standard antivirus to protect your machine from harmful websites you don’t know are trying the security of your system. Second, when copying a file from an external drive like USB flash drive or external hard drive that you borrowed, always make it a habit to scan the drive with your antivirus.

If you know how to disable the autoplay feature of your USB port and optical drive, do it to prevent autorun viruses from running. Third, when receiving attachments on your email, don’t download files coming from unknown persons especially HTML attachments. When downloading an attachment from known contacts, always scan the file with your antivirus.
