MCafee Security Center error – not protected

Hello there!

My McAfee Security Center just indicated that my PC is not protected. It says that Action required on Computer & Files and Emails & IM. I tried clicking on the button Fix but it seems nothing happened because the status did not change. 

I am using XP and tried reinstalling McAfee. However, this did not change the protection status, it still indicated NO. 

I am positive that my license has not expired yet. What am I missing? What should I do?

MCafee Security Center error – not protected

Did the problem occurred after an update? This error usually occurs after some of your products within your security suite were not successfully updated.

You can try manual update within the security center.

Right click on the M icon in the system tray, select update then restart your computer when prompted.

If McAfee fails to get updates, it will suggest several options one of which is to run Virtual Technician. Run it and it should fix this problem.

Hi there, 

McAfee wont do anything good to your PC. It was good before. But now its not the shining star. Just lying behind many other huge Security solutions.

Very sad to say that Huge loads of Malwares and or Viruses are Playing with your system. You must be very careful while using External devices to install Softwares and other stuffs and also while using Network.

 

Its really horrible and tough to fight with viruses and only a PC expert geek could do remove SOME of the common viruses. 

 

Better install a GOOD Antivirus and or Internet security. 

 

I personally Recommends Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. It works great. It catches almost all the viruses and also very smooth to operate. What problem kaspersky has till its 2011 versions was slow updates. Now they have solved the problem.

 

Go try download the trial version and try it for 30 days and if and only if you liked then buy the license for 1 year.
