How to put one website on 2 server ???

Basically what I want to do is, I got a website and when one server is down the website can be accessible from another server, all the updates must be reflected on both the servers 🙂

Yes it is easily possible to use multiple servers for a single time. This can reduce your down time to minimum. But there are two different possibilities whether two servers are on same network or on a different network. I have illustrated both cases.

1.      Use VRRP when both servers are on same network so that they can run on the same IP address. But Synchronization is a big issue in it. You have to make sure that you have synchronized the content.

2.      Use DNS OR BGP anycasting when both servers are on different network. It is difficult to find a provider for BGP anycasting but it is better than DNS.
