Can two different types of RAMs be employed on motherboard of DELLGX280?

I want to increase my RAM memory. I have RAMs of two different categories. One is an SDR and the other is a DDR SDRAM. Can I use both on the motherboard of DELL GX280 chip type:INTEL(R)82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family. Or I have to buy the other one of the same type.

No you can't use two different kind of ram on one motherboard. Because each motherboard have its own support for the ram and that is every motherboard support different kind of ram but there is not motherboard design which can support two different kind of ram. But it is not impossible if a manufacturing company wish to design the motherboard supporting two different kind of ram they can but up to now they have design such motherboard to support two types of ram. So you can you only one kind of ram on the motherboard either DDR or SDR. Depends upon the motherboard you have. Thanks.

Hi.

You cannot be able to use two different in your pc. Because, the picture of your SDRAM portrays that it have two notches whilst the DDR shows 1 notch. So it is not possible to use different type of RAM’s in your PC. Other wise you can choose same branded RAM. If you choose different brand it will cause to damage your PC. Better you buy the same product.
