I heard a news that Amazon cloud player is giving the facility of Uploading up to 5GB of music to Amazon cloud drive for free.

You can even choose from your iTunes library.

This facility is available in iOS. But will it take space on the iPhone?

First thing you need to know is what exactly is cloud. A cloud is a virtual database which will be stored some ware else but not in your iPhone. Amazon has started its cloud services where it will sell its storage capacity or what ever resources they have they will give it for us on rental basis for certain period of time. Now, In your situation Amazon is providing 5GB free space. Just here is a basic thing you need to know is your phone doesn't have 5GB space at all and although there are no phones which has 5GB of space. So, it straight away says you can store 5GB space in Amazons database for fee. So, utilize that service but think before you use it. He may later come back asking for money.
