I have come across the acronym PaaS in cloud computing. I do not fully understand this terminology and the concept behind it. I would be grateful if you could elaborate further on what PaaS is and how to use this service. Have you any idea what PaaS is capable of achieving in this modern era of clouding computing? How effective have you found PaaS?

Explain the Concept Of Platform As A Service (Paas)

The term PaaS stands for Platform as a Service. It is a type of cloud computing services that offers a solution stack and a computing platform as a service. In other websites, it is defined as a cloud-based computing environment that is aimed at supporting rapid development, executing, and administration of applications.

PaaS provides developers with the suitable flavors of operating systems, middleware, databases, software tools and supervised services that are normally in a multitenant environment. So, to make it easier to understand, PaaS is a way or a method to rent or lease operating systems, hardware, storage, and network capacity on the internet.

The service delivery model lets the customer rent virtualized servers and related services for executing existing applications and also developing and testing new ones. SaaS, on the other hand, stands for Software as a Service. It is a software distribution model where hosted software or applications are made accessible to customers on the internet.
