I got this internal error in Hippo CMS’s Add Image dialog while trying to upload a big BMP file. How can I fix this?

Hello,

Your error seems to come from a VERY old version of Hippo CMS (circa 2008). I would highly suggest you upgrade to a new, supported release.

Hi there Rodriguezscotte,

 

The first thing you should know is that it is almost never a good idea to upload such a big images to your website if they are only meant to be seen and not downloaded as files. They are generating unnecessary traffic on your server and are making your website hard to be loaded. Uploading a web optimized JPG images is always a better option.

 

I can't see the version of your CMS, but this used to be a bug few years ago. Check to see if your image is uploaded or not, if it is uploaded, it is a mentioned bug and is fixed long time ago. Update your CMS to the newer version.

 

If your CMS is up to date, the problem is most likely not in the CMS but in your server configuration or not having enough space. Check your server configuration and available space to fix that.
