My laptop’s DVD/CD-ROM drive not working
My laptop DVD drive is has developed a complication and it won’t work. I have tried playing different samples of CDs and DVDs but drive would not respond. I tried to check for the properties of the drive under device manager.
I went to Control Panel/System/Device Manager and under the DVD/CD ROM drives, right clicked on TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D ATA Device/selected properties and under the "Device status" field, there was the message " .
This device cannot start. (Code 10) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available." I tried to troubleshoot the driver.
I went through the whole process of troubleshooting and did exactly as directed such as Installing the driver Reinstalling the driver Bios process And everything else i could think of or find on the net.
Could my drive be damaged or what could be the problem? This is the latest error message i received trying to fix it “Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. ” I am desperate for help. Please provide any information that can help me fix the problem.
