Blue vertical line on the screen of my laptop

Hello There! I have a Dell Alienware 14 inches Laptop, this is a brand new unit and my problem is that I am seeing a blue vertical line across the screen. Is this normal? Please advise what to do, restarting the machine did not help. Hope you can help. Thank you.

Hi Moses,

 

It is not normal that you have a blue vertical line across your brand new laptop screen. It is not a software issue either as restart didn't help your cause. 

 

Most probably it is a hardware issue, your display might have been damaged. Contact your service center with appropriate papers, they will handle it.
