Microsoft Visual Basic API Editor Reports an error

Hi Experts,

I have installed visual basic. I want to work with its API Editor. When I open API Editor it generates an error “API Declaration Loader Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience”. I have clicked several times Send Error Report, but the problem is still there I have installed it with 10 different CDs but the problem is still there.

Kindly help me to solve it out.

Microsoft Visual Basic API Editor Reports an error

You must install your Visual Basic completely especially the Visual Studio. Visual Basic API Editor uses some components of Visual Basic itself. Without those components the auxiliary application doesn’t work. Visual Basic API Editor loads an ordinary but formatted file so it is basically loading text files.

The problem may come from the file being loaded by the API Editor or more possible is from the components used by the API Editor itself. Un-installing and re-installing the complete Visual Studio components may help to solve the problem. File corruption cause by virus infection might be possible source of problem. So don’t leave the option of being infected by the virus. Scan your computer and free it from virus infection.
